Do Mormons believe the Bible?The Mormons Believe in zillions of Gods. Bible says: Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any." Isaiah 44:8 Joseph Smith also said, "In the beginning the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods" (T. of P.J.S., p. 349). And Orson Pratt declared, "If we should take a million of worlds like this and number their particles, we should find that there are more Gods than there are particles of matter in those worlds" (J. of D., Vol. II, p. 345). Mormons try to say that Ezekiel 37 is a prophecy about the Bible and the Book of Mormon becoming ONE.. However Ezekiel 37:22 shows us the prophecy is about two nations becoming one NOT BOOKS. Mormons Believe they can become a God like Heavenly Father. Bible says: Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Isa.46:9 Mormons Believe that men will have wives in heaven.. Bible says: Matt. 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Mormons Believe that there are many Gods who exist in the cosmos. Bible says: "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me. Isaiah 44:6 Mormons Believe that Heavenly Father has a body of flesh and bones.. Bible says God is a SPIRIT and that a SPIRIT hath not flesh and bones. John 4:24 Luke 24:39 Mormons Teach that their church is like the New Testament church cause they have a Prophet. Bible says: Luke 16:16 "The law and the prophets were until John -- Heb. 1:1-3 God used the prophet in TIMES PAST -- 1 Cor. 11 says it is a shame to have a Prophet (covering over head) Mormons Teach that marriage is an essential doctrine of exaltation (becoming a God). Bible says: 1 Cor. 7:8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. Mormons Believe their obedience will make them right before God. Bible says Romans 5:19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. Mormons Believe we all existed before coming to earth as the spirit children of Mr. And Mrs. God. Bible says: "Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual." (1 Corinthians 15:46) -- "...the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens:...and formeth the spirit of man within him." (Zechariah 12:1). Mormons Believe that water baptism is required to get to heaven. Bible says salvation is by grace through faith ALONE. Romans 10:9-10, 1 Cor. 15:1-4, Eph. 2:8-9, Romans 11:6 Mormons Believe that men who have not heard the gospel will get a second chance after death in spirit prison. Bible says men die once THEN THE JUDGMENT. Heb. 9:27 Mormons Believe they are born again by water baptism.. Bible says: 1 Peter 1:23 For you have beeen born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God Mormons Believe that their good works will get them to God in the Celestial kingdom.. Bible says Jesus died to BRING US TO GOD. 1 Peter 3:18 Mormons Believe that Jesus is "a god" who helped Heavenly Father create the heavens and the world. Bible says God did it ALL ALONE AND BY HIMSELF. Isa. 44:24 Mormons Believe in multiple Gods.. Bible says that those who believe in multiple Gods DO NOT KNOW GOD. Isa. 45:5 Mormons Believe that if they obey good enough they too can become a God over their own planets. Bible says: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isa. 43:10 Mormons Believe Jesus atoned for sin when He bled in the Garden of Gethesemane. Bible makes NO mention of Jesus shedding blood in Gethsemane. Mormons Teach that their church is like the Church in the Bible. But the Bible shows us that the New Testament Church was led by the Apostles in authority 1 Cor. 12:28. The Mormon church has a Prophet in authority over the Mormon Apostles. Mormons Teach that Jesus was BORN IN HEAVEN citing Col. 1:16 as Jesus being the "Firstborn" over all creation.. The Greek word there shows that Jesus is Pre-Eminent over all creation. Just as David, the youngest son, was called the Firstborn in Psa. 89:27. Mormons Believe God will hold former sins to those who sin again (D&C 82:7) Bible says God will remember our sins NO MORE (Heb. 8:12) Mormons Believe there is NO SALVATION without believing in Joseph Smith (Doctrines of Salvation Vol. 1. pg. 189-190) Bible says salvation is in NO OTHER NAME than Jesus (Acts 4:12) Mormons Teach that God is progressive.. That he was once a man who obeyed his way to become a God. Bible says: "[God is] not a man" (Job 9:32) "I am God, and not man" (Hos 11:9)"from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God"(Ps. 90:2) Mormons Believe the blood of Jesus does not cover sins like murder or adultery
